My Updated Foundation Routine

Hey Everyone!

I am really excited for today's post because I am finally going to do my foundation routine! I have been changing up my routine so much, I change it depending on the seasons and what my skin needs. This is the routine that that has worked out for me, so I will add in some tips on how to customize this for your skin type.
You all know how I always use an eye primer, and that goes for my face as well! I love my Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, it decreases the size of your pores and evens out the surface of your skin. This makes it really easy to get a smooth application for any products you choose to put over it. Even though this primer is slightly expensive, it lasts forever.

My favorite foundation is the Makeup Forever HD foundation. I have been wanting to try this out for a while, so when I was at Sephora, I decided to pick one up. I like to let my skin breath, so I go foundation-less a lot too, but this is perfect for the days when I want a little more coverage. The key to this product is to use a little less then the size of a pearl, and then add more as needed. Sometimes I pump out way to much, and I just end up wasting product. If you want less coverage you can easily mix in a little moisturizer with this to get a flawless, clean look. I apply my foundation with a Mac 188 stippling brush to get the full HD effect.

I like to apply a different product to any under-eye circles instead of two layers of foundation. My favorite concealer that I have been using forever is my Mac select cover up. It is so creamy and bendable, but it will easily cover up any blemishes or under-eye circles. I apply this with a 217 blending brush to blend the product out while focusing most of it where I need it most.

Whenever you apply a liquid product, it is important that you set it with a powder. This keeps everything in place while adding a little more coverage. I love my Mac mineralized skin finish natural because it controls shine without caking up. I apply this with a Mac 189 to press it in to the foundation.

Next I want to add a little color. I have been loving cream blushes and powder blushes, but my latest favorite is Mac Coppertone. It has a sheertone finish, and it is a beautiful coppery plum. You can easily build up the coverage, and it isn't too overpowering for any eye looks that you want to do.  I like to apply this with a 116 brush to press it in.

After that I would do my contouring and highlighting and finish up with the eyes and whatever combo I decide on for the lips! Most of the time when I wear foundation, I can feel it on my skin. I feel better about wearing all of this because it lets my skin shine through.

By the way, I am going to be on vacation for the next week. I will try to keep posting if I have internet access, but if I can't I will be back in a week!

Tell me in the comments what your foundation routine is, and make sure to follow us! Feel free to request a post in the comments or email us at foreverfuchsia@gmail.com, and follow us on twitter if you have an account! Thanks for reading!

The Perfect Faux Glow

Hey everyone!

I was out in the sun all day today, so I must admit, I expected a tan. Well, I was about a half of a shade darker then I was when summer started, so I guess I am showing improvement? Anyways, the gorgeous dark bronze glow is essential when creating your outfit of the day, and to most it is considered an accessory. Here are my secrets to getting golden without any damage from the sun!

The key to getting a smooth and even tan is to exfoliate first. My favorite one is the Clinique Sparkle Skin body exfoliator, this one has little beads in it that burst into a creamy lather once rubbed in. If I want to make it a little stronger, I just add a touch of my St.Ives apricot scrub. Not only is the smell amazing when these are mixed, but it works really well! Exfoliating will smooth out any dry patches of skin, because the tanner will stick to dry areas.

Now that your skin is prepped, it is time to choose your self tanner! I love the St.Tropez bronzing mousse, it is the easiest for me to use. This doesn't stain your hands terribly, but I apply it with rubber gloves just in case. I only do one layer per day, because this product really builds up quickly. Make sure to stay out of water for the next four hours, this will give you the maximum tan.

Your next step is to carry your tan up to your face. The key is to get a great bronzer and make sure that you blend it down your neck and wherever your face needs some extra color. I never tan my face, it is easier for me to just apply bronzer. Lorac has the perfect ad examples, the models are always flawlessly tanned. This might have something to do with the power of photoshop, but who says you can't achieve the same results without it?

My favorite bronzer is Nars Laguna because it looks so natural. I apply this with the 168 brush because it is perfect for distributing the same amount of product all over. The angle of this brush is great for contouring as well. I apply Laguna all over my face and down my neck, and then I can start contouring!

For contouring, I prefer my Benefit Hoola bronzer. I like to use this one for contouring because it is better for creating shadows, while Laguna works really well for an all over glow. I posted on my favorite way to get a chiseled cheekbone a while ago, you can find that post by clicking this link.

Last but not least, top your look off with a bright lip. My favorite selection of the moment is the Mac dazzleglass in Date Night. This gives a shimmery pop of color to accent your new tan!

That is how I keep my summer glow without getting any damaging rays from the sun! Make sure to follow if you haven't already, and tell me in the comments if you use a self tanner. Make It Pop: Beautifully Bright Eyes

Hey everyone!

I was looking through my collection and I saw my Nyx Navy liquid eyeliner. I actually forgot it was even in my collection, but I have put myself on an "use everything in your eyeliner basket" restriction. I have been using the same products way too much, so I decided to branch out of my comfort zone and create a new, colorful look. Okay, I admit, this wouldn't be the best look to go grocery shopping in, but you can easily tone it down. Here is my new take on colorful eye looks!

When applying any products to the eyes, even if it is just one color, always use a primer. This will keep your shadows on much longer and prevent creasing. I know I put this is all of my tutorials, but I cannot stress enough how important it is!
Next I am going to apply a white base all over the inner third of my lid. I used a 249 Mac brush to create more of a sharp, clean look. This is the Mac Chromaline in Pure White. Using a white can open up your eyes, but just make sure not to use too much. If you applied a bright white all over your lid, it can easily wash you out.
I want a really deep blue for my outer corner, but I want this color to really stand out. I used the brightest deep blue that I could find, and that is my Mac Marine Ultra Chromaline. I applied this with a clean 242 brush to my outer corner, and ten I smudged a little in to blend it with the white.
Next, I needed to find a product to create a flawless ombre effect on my lid. I decided to use Mac Tilt to add a little shimmer and to blend the white and deep blue together. I applied this to the middle of my lid using a Mac 239 brush.
Now we are at the fun part; making a major wing on your upper lash line eyeliner. The reason we are doing the eyeliner now is so we can blend it onto the crease. I made a decent sized wing with my Mac plumage eyeshadow and my 266 brush. Instead on bringing it back to the lash line, I finished the wing by pulling the color back to the crease. this really made a statement, it defined my lash line and my crease at the same time! I also used my 217 brush to blend the crease color out.
Next, I needed a pop of color. I took my 219 pencil brush and sprayed a little water on it, this made the color really pop out.  I lined over the Plumage crease color without blending it in, and this really made it pop! Typically I am against un-blended eyeshadow, but for this look, it worked. I also lined to inner third of my lower lash line with my 219 pencil brush to tie it all together.
Now it is time for the liquid eyeliner! When using a liquid eyeliner, it gives the sharpest look, but it can get messy. With a little practice and patience, you can get it down in no time! I lined my lower lash line with a really thin line, and the I made it a little thicker on the outer two thirds of my lash line.
Next, I wanted to work with a softer green, so I used my Mac Juxt eyeshadow in my inner corner and blended a little of this into my inner half of the crease. By putting a lighter color, it will open up the crease to more light, making it less dramatic. For this step I used my 213 brush.
Now it is time to set the lower lash line eyeliner, I want to keep the sharpness of the edge, but I still want to set it closer to the lashes. I used my 210 brush to apply deep truth to the lower lash line, but I did not bring the color all the way down. This let me keep the clean line while making it stay in place.
Because I have some pretty intense eyeliner going on, I wanted to keep my waterline simple. For this step I used my Mac Fascinating eyeliner on my waterline to open up my eyes.
Because I am using more of a dramatic mascara next, I want to tightline my eyes so there is no gap. Tightlining is lining your upper waterline, some people call it invisible eyeliner because it is so natural. For this step I used a clean 266 brush and Mac typographic eyeshadow.

And for my lashes I used my Clinique lengthening mascara. When I went to the Clinique counter to get this, the artist gave me a ton of free samples, so I am still on my first one! This mascara is really amazing, it dries down to this deep matte black that doesn't flake or run.

And this is the finished look! I feel like everything tied together really well, it is a fun way to wear the bright trend.

So tell me in the comments below about your favorite bright beauty product, make sure to follow if you haven't already, and feel free to request a post! Thanks for reading!

The Best Facial Cleanser Brushes

Hey everyone!

I was on the Sephora website today and I came across the Clarisonic Mia 2. I remember when the whole idea of a facial cleansing brush came out, and I was really questioning the whole "toothbrush for your face" concept. Now that I have looked into the best of this category, I am truly amazed by the advanced technology that has been put into all of them. This post is to help you decide on a brush, or just learn some facts about these!

The first brush that took the market by storm is the Clarisonic Classic. This is the original Clarisonic brush. The idea behind the Clarisonic and all brushes is to give a deep cleansing scrub. If you are set on the Clarisonic brand, they have a ton of different brush heads specially designed for your skin concerns. All of the system's brush heads spin around 300 times per second, pulling anything harmful out of your skin! The Classic is amazing, but the only downside is the high price tag. The Classic is priced at $195.00, but it will last you a lifetime.

If you want a Clarisonic but you are not too happy with the Classic price, the Mia might be a better option. Personally, the Mia is my favorite. Out of all of the qualities that I love about this, the main one would have to be ease of use. The Mia 1 and 2 both have the brush heads that you can choose from, so that is another added benefit. One thing to keep in mind with any skin cleansing brush is you may not like the first week of using them. I was really worried when I started breaking out after using it, but after a frantic trip to Sephora, they explained to me that it is washing up everything that is clogging your pores. I was new to the whole beauty world at the time, but I did know that all of that would rise to the top of my skin eventually, so better now then later. The Mia 1 is priced at $119.99, and the Mia 2 at $145.99.

The next brush is the Olay Pro-X Skin Cleansing System. For the reasonable price of $29.99, this does a decent job. When I first tested this out, I was pretty happy with it, but I was curious about the bristles in the head of it. I was looking around for what they used in it, and I could not find anything. I know this isn't a huge issue, but I didn't feel the deep cleansing part of it all. It did a great job of cleaning my skin, but the results didn't last. If you are interested in a basic model, this would still work for you.

Another option is the Sonic Dermabrasion Exfoliating brush. This is a great product for those who do not have sensitive skin, but for anyone who does, I warn you, it is very exfoliating. The key to getting any product out there is obviously advertising, and I have learned that a company can find a disguise for any flaw.  This was really harsh on my skin, but I have a friend who loves this. Nothing can get to her skin though, so it is a good match for her.

Some people want something for their face and body, so I decided to throw in another option. This is the BriteLeafs face and body ultra clean brush, and it is, how do I put this, special. This brush comes with four different brush heads, one of them being a pumice stone for your feet. If you are looking for something that will work for face and body, this has a brush head for everything.

Those would have to be the fan favorites of the skin cleansing brushes. Also, don't let the "skin breaking out after a week" thing completely scare you away from the idea, it went away after a couple of days. It is like breaking in a new pair of heels, the first week might not be too fun, but you are left with a pair of amazing heels for the rest of your life, making everything worth it, trust me.

Sorry if this post has any typo's in it, this is my third time re-typing it because it keeps disappearing on me. I am officially saving this in a couple of different spots, but I will check over it again in the morning. Make sure to follow if you haven't already, and feel free to ask me any questions in the comments or email them to me at foreverfuchsia@gmail.com. Make sure to tell me in the comments what you think of these brushes, and thanks for reading!

What To Put in Your Purse

                                                                  Hello Readers!

Shopping is like an sport, you have to have the right gear and be prepared for anything! So today I'm going to tell you what every girl needs in her purse, for touch-ups when shopping!

First I'm going to talk about what makeup to bring for touchups. I like to bring lipgloss, powder, and sometimes a little mascara. Lipgloss and mascara are easy to carry, but sometimes for the powder you might have to bring a huge brush along with it, which if you have a small purse like me, that might take up alot of space.

The next thing I always like to bring is chapstick. Sometimes I put this in before my lipgloss because that makes the lipgloss stay on long. I also carry it around because you never know when your lips will get chapped!

The next thing I like to bring is Bobby pins. I went to Sally Beauty Supply and got a Bobby pin case. It's very small but it can hold like 50 Bobby pins. This is great because now when you open up your purse Bobby pins won't be going like everywhere.

Then put in your wallet purse and you are done! I hope you liked my post, comment and tell me if there is anything else you like to put in your purse!

Perfectly Pink Is Going Totally Teal

Hey Everyone!

I got a request to do a decor post, and I am really excited about it! If you know me, you know I change up my room about every month. When I move around the furniture, it feels like a completely different space, and makes me use the room more. The space I am posting on today is my beauty room, but I used to have a problem with a bed being in there. I don't even use it, and it is not considered a guest room, but that bed has stayed in the room. When I finally embraced the fact that there was no way I could get it out, I decided to have some fun with it, and use a splash of teal! I love using bright colors for summer, and teal is no exception. Here is my new favorite way to tastefully use a bright color!

This is my new comforter! I wanted something crisp and clean, and I am so happy I found this! I was at Bed Bath and Beyond and this instantly caught my eye. One major trend in fashion and decorating is to mix prints and patterns, so I tried to do this without it looking over the top.
This is the full view! I still want to get another brown cube to put at the end of the bed because they are great for storage and seating. I messed around with teal and lime green because I wanted the room to have a fun and fresh vibe to it. Not only does this make me use the space more, but I can really see all of the possibilities that the room has to offer.
And these are my current pillow choices! This is still in the works, but for now, I am leaving it. The stripes in the square pillow make everything pop in the bedspread design, and I had to include my green fluff ball pillow as well! The pink pillow in the back is just for supporting the rest, but it is staying for now. I  have to keep the blue ruffled pillow handy because my cat enjoys curling up next to it, and she makes a great accessory! Finally, the dog is not only adorable, but it actually has speakers in it so I can play my ipod music on it! Plus, it makes an excellent model for my DKNY scarf.
I wanted to show you an easy way to make an empty space a little more exciting, and that is to use fun jewelry holders! These mannequins are so cute, and you can see the famous forever fuchsia one in the front right side! I use these for storing my quirkier pieces, and I can have some fun displaying them.

Those are my favorite ways to add a quick pop of color to a space! I wanted to make a quick post on something other then my usual makeup ones, so this was a fun change for me. Don't worry though, Perfectly Pink is staying pink and beauty obsessed forever! I am going to do a post on my favorite facial cleanser brushes soon, and hopefully it will help you decide which one is the best for you. Feel free to request a post, and tell me in the comments what you like to do to switch up a room. Thanks for reading!

What I Pack In My Beauty Travel Bag

Hey Everyone!

A while back I did a post on what I usually pack in my gym bag. The things I put in that post are great for touch-ups, but not the best for a longer vacation, so I am going to show you what I put in my travel bag! I am not one to pack lightly, so here is my not so simple packing list!

This is the best I could do to simplify things, and for me, it is pretty good! The products in this post are only my cosmetic items, so if you want to see my go to outfits, tell me in the comments!

I like to mess around with a new look everyday, but it might be a challenge to haul all of my Mac eyeshadows with me, so I take my palettes with me! I wanted a nice variety of colors and neutrals so I am taking my BH cosmetics 120 3rd edition and my 28 color neutral look. When I keep both of these palettes with me, the possibilities are endless!

My Soft and Gentle MSF is an essential, it can make any color pop and is perfect for layering or on its own. I usually use this as a highlighter with my 165 brush. Another one of my favorite uses for this product is to layer over my Nars multiples, it keeps them in place without looking thick, and it gives the prettiest sheen! I also packed my MSFN, and you all know why I love this product, so a mini explanation is not necessary!

Another must have product is a good gloss, and my favorite is Mac's Love Nectar. This is one of their popular products, and I can see why! If you want something natural that makes your lips look fuller, this is for you. I am bringing this along because the lips give the finishing touch, so this makes whatever look I am wearing more polished.

My Stila sheer color tinted moisturizer is one of my must haves, because it evens out your skin tone without being too heavy. Once I blend it in, I can't even feel it on!

My next product is my amazing cosmetics concealer. This is an extremely opaque full coverage concealer, but I only use the smallest amount under my eyes. I have horrible dark circles, but this makes them disappear! The key is to use the smallest amount, remember, you can always add more.

I combined my Urban Decay Zero and Mac False Lash because they go hand in hand. This dynamic duo has it all, and they really define your eyes with minimal effort. I had to being these with me, if I could only choose two products, these would be it!

I took my go-to scent with me, just in the mini form. This is the Victoria's Secret Summer Bombshell fragrance, and I have been wearing this every day. I love the packaging, and the scent is clean and fresh while still fun. I put this is a ziplock bag just in case when traveling!

My last item was my Revlon curling iron, but there isn't anything special about it, so I just let it be! Thanks to all of our followers, we are so excited to have reached our 50th one today! Make sure to follow, and tell me in the comments what you pack when you travel. Thanks for reading!

Shopping Trip Haul!

                                                                  Hello Readers!
Sorry neither of us has posted for awhile, we have been having some major technicaal issues, but we got it all fixed! So about three days ago I took a trip to the mall to use up my $25 giftcard to Forever 21 and to find some other cute things for summer! I thought I would show you my purchases!

First I got this adorable skirt from Forever 21! I love this skirt because it is form fitting, but its not super tight. It also falls right above the knee, which is a decent length. Forever 21 tends to make really short skirts so I was lucky to find this one! I also love the pattern on it. In this picture you can't really see the true color, it's a very bright neon yellow! This cost 10.80$.

This is the back of the shirt, the front is plain white.

Then, I started to think, this skirt is so bright, what can I put with it? My first thought was a white cami and a beige sweater, but that would be too hot for summer. I didn't want another yellow thing because then I would look like a lemon. So I looked around Forever 21 and I found this gorgeus shirt! Its plain white and flowy in the front, but in the back it's crazy! This reminds me of the saying, business in the front, and party in the back! But this shirt is so see through that I got a white cami to go with it.

Next I got Sally Hanson Salon Effects So Romantic. This is one of my favorite products that Sally Hansen has made. They take about 30 minutes to do both of your hands, and they turn out great! They stay on for about 2 weeks usually for me. My only complaint is that sometimes they chip.

Then I got some blonde bobby pins. I am always useing these things and I always loose them! Ever since my hairdresser messed up and cut my hair so short it's at my chin (I asked for it at my shoulder) I have to use these to do alot of hairdo's. I'm also so glad I found them in blonde! Most places only have bronze, brown, and black.

Thats it! Comment and tell me what you think of these products! We love to hear from our readers!
