Make a Mac Palette!

So I know that awhile ago Perfectly Pink did a post on Mac blush palettes, but today I am going to talk about Mac eyeshadow Palettes! There are palettes thats contain two eyeshadows ($30.00), four eyeshadows ($53.00), and a 15 eyeshadows palette! ($188.50).
For these Mac palettes, they have ones that are already made, but the cool part is that you can customize your own! You can choose any eyeshadow they have and put it in your palette! But even though it is a bit cheaper to get it in palettes form, I always try to get it in pot form. I just think it's better to have each one in it's one little container. I still love it in palette form too though!
Mac palettes are great because it's cheaper to get them instead of in pan form, you can choose any eyeshadows to put in them, and they are perfect for someone who travels alot and doesn't want to have lots of eyeshadows moving around in her purse or makeup bag.

Chanel Tennis Racket!

Hey everyone!

I must admit, I am a tennis nut. I would play tennis 24/7, I love everything about it. So when I saw a Chanel tennis racket in Vogue, I had a moment. There was a specialty one, and it was the perfect balance of gold, white, and the logo... sigh.

Look at these! I mean, I might be more worried about snapping off that flower then getting the perfect amount of power and spin on my serve, but still!

Amazing. Can't you just see it? I toss up the ball, the sun threatening my eyes, and then SNAP! I snap down on the ball. My opponent is so blinded by my racket, it is an ace! Yeah, highly unlikely, but a girl can dream...

Oh gosh. Chanel has put me in la-la land!

And they have tennis balls. Considering that they come in what looks like a makeup traveling bag, I would imagine these would be kind of pricey. They come as a set of four, but come on! They just scream luxury!

Thanks for reading, and tell me in the comments if you have checked out Chanel's line of sports equipment.

Dramatic Look

Today I was messing around with some of my eyshadows and I decided to try and make a really dramatic look. So when I think of dramatic I think of dark blues, purples, golds, silver, and black. So I used a couple of those colors today to create a very dramatic look. Oh and sorry my pictures aren't great today, my camera was in a bad mood.
For this looks, you will need Deep Truth, Retrospeck, black mascara, and a MAC 239 brush.

So first I took Deep Truth an applied it all over the lid. This is what makes the dramatic part of the look. Make sure not to go too light with this, because the darker you go with it the better the next eyeshadow I'm going to tell you about will show up.

The next eyeshadow I used was Retrospeck. This is a light shimmery gold color. Apply this is in the inner corners and the crease and feel free to smoke it up a little bit. This looks amazing because it adds alot of shimmer to the look and gives it some pop, because it would be really boring to just have plain blue all over the lid.

Finally, I took some black mascara. This just adds onto the dramatic look an yet again, makes Retrospeck show up better because this is such a dark color too.

I hope you like this post! Feel free to comment and tell me what you think! I love to hear what our readers have to say. Bye for now!

Winged Eyeliner

Hey everyone!

In my last post on the silver smokey eye, I winged out my liner a little. I didn't do a huge wing, just a small one to lift up my eyes and to define them. I wanted to show you my secret for it, so here it is!

Here you can see the basics. I only have Urban Decay zero on my upper lash line with Mac Carbon smudged in with a 226 brush. This is the first step, and then you build from there!
So this is the shape your line will take. The key to this is to wing it out by following the curve of your lower lash line. This is the angle that is the best for your eye shape! It looks really dramatic in this picture, but when you open your eyes, it looks much smaller.
And that is it! You can make a thicker, longer wing to make it more dramatic, but I prefer the smaller ones. I just put a little mascara on with a peach/gold base and a soft brown in the crease.

To soften it up, you could set it with a grey shadow. I love to set my eyeliner with an eyeshadow because it makes it stay longer and it helps smudge it out. I use a 266 brush to place this really close to the lash line.

My tip is to make sure they are even by using the lower lash line technique. Also, start small. It is much easier to add more color then try to get it off without wiping off the erst of your look!

Thanks for reading, and tell me in the comments if you are enjoying these tips and tricks for my different looks!

Jovani

So even though I don't have an occasion to wear a fancy poofy gown, I still love to look at them from time to time. When I do Jovani is the first website I go to. Their dresses are so fabulous, and they have so many different styles and colors. For whatever occasion you have, Jovani will have a dress perfect for that occasion! They have Wedding dresses, Prom dresses, Pageant Dresses Short dresses, evening dresses and Couture dresses. If you wear one of their dresses to an occasion, you will be sure to stand out! (In a good way of course.) These are some of my favorite dresses they have made for Prom this year. If you what to check out their website (and I highly suggest you do) just go to this link. http://www.jovani.com/ All of these dresses are from the prom collection.

This one is so gorgeus! I love how it's plain white but on one side it's a surprise! That's oe thing I love about Jovani is that they always have surprises!
I love this one because the skirt of it reminds me of waves.
Thi is a great dress because it looks like a normal dress thats perfect for a date, but you don't realize that there is a train in the back!

Silver Smokey Eye

Hey everyone!

I am really excited to share with you my new modern take on the smokey eye! I actually incorporated a dark green instead of the black just to make it a little more edgy. This look can easily be toned down, so you can make it as dramatic or natural as you want.

First, prime your eyes with Urban Decay primer potion. This will make your shadows last all day. Just remember, you don't need much, a little goes a long way.

I have some of my Mac eyeshadows de-potted, and Electra is one of them! I used a 239 brush to apply this all over the lid. I layered it a little to bring out the shimmer.
Plumage is one of my favorite colors to use instead of a black because it has a slight blue/green tint to it. I used a 217 brush to apply this in the crease.
After that, I used Scene to blend out my crease color. I used the 217 brush again so any leftover product on the brush will blend into the grey. If you need a stiffer brush to define the areas, I would use the 213.
The key to a darker, smokey eye like this is to balance it out with a highlight color. I chose Blanc Type because it is a natural matte color. I used the 227 brush to highlight my brow bone.
For a liner, I used a basic black. Urban Decay Zero is the perfect eyeliner for this! What I did was I created a thin line and then made it thicker before slightly winging it out. To create more definition, I layer Plumage with a 266 over it. I used both colors on the waterline to set it.
Mac false lash mascara is my go to one when I need something extra. I love how it lengthens and defines without clumping.

Here are the brushes I used! These are the numbers from left to right: 239, 217, 213, 266, 227.

And here is the finished product! You can see I winged the liner out a little, I wanted it to lift the eye. Oh, and I did not use actual false lashes, just the mascara! I lined my waterline, and I think that really made it stand out. Overall, I was pretty happy at out turned out!

Thanks for reading, be sure to follow and comment on what your go-to smokey eye is! Also, I have to add a quick update on the product reviews. I promise, they will be up soon! I still need to figure out how I am going to organize them, but I am excited about it!

Love you all!

Horse Chic?

Hey everyone!

Okay, I have been obsessed with horseback riding clothing lately. Obviously you won't see me with the full helmet and jods, but some of the stuff is really cute! Back in the dinosaur age of this blog, I did a post on how I loved to knot the ends of a shirt with a cami under it to make it look more casual. Well, I have gone to the extremes, making my new favorite look a horseback riding shirt with the ends knotted!

Oh, and not to mention, you have an excuse to run with the polo look! Hello, Ralph Lauren.

I try and run with the casual look as much as I can, hair and all. Seriously, my hair can look like it just got electrocuted and I will say it is the Safari look. Okay, slight over-exaggeration. With this shirt, you may actually be able to pull it off! This is the perfect mix between fun and casual, but it is still classy.

This is so preppy! This is why I love horseback riding stuff, the polo's make it so easy to put a look together in minutes.

I hope you enjoyed my new favorite look, I feel like I change it up daily! Be sure to follow and tell me in the comments if you are loving this look. Thanks for reading!

Looking Professional

IZ Byer California Bent Pleat SkirtAlmost everyone sometimes has to dress professionally So today I am going to show you a great look!  I have been looking around, and I think I have found some things that might work. So first is this black stretch skirt. It isn't too short, (falls about a inch above my knees) and it looks great. This would look great because it looks very professional, it's black, so you could wear a colorful blouse with it, and it would go with those glittery shoes I posted about in my last post.

BlueSo as I said I like that skirt because I could add a colorful blouse with it. I've looked at some blouses and this one is probably my favorite. I would probably roll up the sleeves and tuck it into the skirt, but overall I think this would give it a very feminine look. This yellow would also go with the gold shoes.

If you saw my last  post you saw that I got this pair of shoes. I would put these shoes with the outfit just to give it something extra. Sometimes people thing that when you have to look professional that means no glitter. Well, thats wrong. Glitter can look very proffesional if it's used carefully.

I hope you liked this post! Feel free to comment and tell me what you think!

Chubby Sticks!

Hey everyone!

So I saw an ad the other day for Clinique's chubby sticks and I am obsessed again. I feel like they came out last year, and sold out. Yeah, they were kind of popular. I just looked them up, and they got in 8 new shades. Cue the excitement. I will share the ones that ear on my to-buy list!

Here is the full lineup of them. Chubby sticks are like a super glossy lip balm with color. I love them because they are easier to put on then a matte, really pigmented lipstick. You don't have to be as careful with them.

Oversized Orange has to be one of my favorites. Imagine this over a coral, it would be the perfect pop of color! Orange lip colors are great for summer, they are just so much fun!

Okay, I admit this looks a bit strange at first. But this purple is more of a sheer wash, and it is the perfect shade! I love using a purple gloss over a nude/pink lipstick, they work really well together.

Pudgy Peony is another one of the new Chubby Sticks that I love, plus the names are so cute! This is the perfect pink with a hint of plum in it, this shade almost takes on a rosy tint to it.

I hope you enjoyed my post on Chubby Sticks, I love them! Be sure to comment and tell me what your favorites are, thanks for reading!

Glitter Girl Loves Glitter!

So you can probably tell that since I'm called Glitter Girl, I like Glitter. Well, thats wrong. I LOVE GLITTER! So today when I went to Kohl's to get a pair of shoes I instantely fell in love with this pair of flats by Simply Vera. They were on sale too!

So, you have to be careful when wearing glitter so you don't look gaudy, but since my school has a uniform, and that uniform has no glitter, these would be fine to wear to school. I always try to have 2 glittery items or less, because then those two pieces really pop. But anyways, back to the shoes, I would rate these 5 out of 5. That's because not only are they gorgeus, but they are comfortable too. So these will be great for school because I can spend 8 hours walking around in them and they won't hurt! One of my favorite things about the shoes are that first, they have tons on glitter! And second, the sliver and the gold really contrast.
I hope you like this post! Feel free to comment and tell me what you think! Also, please follow our blog if you like it!

Great Nail Products!

                                                              Hello Readers!
So if you saw my last post on my favorite nail products and companies, you saw that the first one on the list was the Sally Hansen Nail Art Strips.

. Thats what I all them, but they are really called Sally Hansen Salon Effect. And since these are my favorite nail products, I thought I would do a post just on them! They are very cools because they come in so many different patterns, from zebra print, red and black stripes, and pink polka dots. I got the pink and white polka dot one. It was actually my first time ever getting one of these and let me say they are amazing! They have many different sizes in the package so one of them will definetly fit your nails and they look profesionally done. I also love it because every single thing you need comes in the small package. It includes a wooden stick,(Ok, it seems random to have a wooden stick in your nail kit, but they are used to push back your cuticles and to smooth out the strips on your nails), a nail file (it's pink!) and then the strips that go on your nails.

So, they are pretty easy to use, but they do take some time to become a pro at it. So if you are just beginning (like me) here are some tricks and tips that will help you as you do your nails.

1. GO SLOWELY!!! I cannot stress this enough. You can easily mess these up if you go too fast.

2. Make sure your nails are very clean before your begin. I suggest rubbing a little nail polish remouver over them just to get off everything.

3. Don't over stretch the strip when you put it on your nails. This just drags out the design, doen't make it look as neat, and the strip might break.

When you are done with your nails it will look like you went to a salon and spent 20 dollars getting your nails done! When really you did them for just 6.75 at home.

Have fun doing your nails!

My Favorite Nail Polish and Companies

Today I'm going to tell you all of my favorite companies/ nail polish accesories. So as a gift my mom got me Sally Hanson Salon Effects. So the reason they sre real fake nail polish is because it is strips that you put over your nails, BUT the are made of real nail polish! I can tell because it says that on the box and it certainly smells like nail polish. I got the pink polka dot print. They are supposed to look real becsuse after you put the strips on you have to shape it to your nail with a small nail file that comes in the package.

So, The next one is the Sally Hanson nail art pen (she makes great nail stuff). I own (and so does Perfectly Pink) it in pale pink. These work great, too, and they looks so cool on your nails. But there are a couple of issues. Sometimes it's really hard to get the paint to start coming out, and sometimes it comes out too much so you have giant blobs. But once you get the hang of it that doesn't happen. Also, after you apply it, let it dry and then put a clear coat over it. If you do not do this is rubs off VERY quickly.

OPI is my all time favorite nail polish company. They come up with the coolest collections and their nail polish is absolutely the best possible quality. This is just a great company and I highly suggest it.

Ok, so I do like Essie. It has some really cool colors. The only probl I have with them is that there colors are so sheer! Expecially the light pink ones(Which are gorgeus by the way)even after multiple coats you still get nail lines!! But they do have some vey pretty colors so I do get some of there things. I just do many layers.

Bring It On!

Hey everyone!

I have a post that is a little different then usual today. Let's just say, if you have a challenge, I am willing to embrace it. Test out a new nail polish collection in a day? Easy. Curl my hair in five minutes? Done. My new plan is to have everything perfectly planned before summer, the time to fall apart again! Okay, kind of kidding on that one! But I am focusing on a new word: determination.

This is why I am going to try to turn the impossible into the possible: I am going to do a review on every single product in my beauty collection. They will be grouped by color and brand, and I am in this for the long run! If it takes me six months, then I am prepared, and I am going to do it! So this is why I am taking the beauty review challenge.

This is just a quick update on this, be prepared for makeup review madness! I will still do a ton of my normal posts, so tell me in the comments what you want to see more often. I am doing this to prove to myself I can do detailed reviews for reference, and for fun! You just have to love blogging.

Love you guys!

Summer Shine!

                                                                      Hello Girlies!

During the school year people tend to go with nude colored lipgloss,or one with just a touch of pink. But summer is for fun, sparkely, lipgloss! So this summer, I'm going to try out Smashbox's Reflection High Shine Lipgloss.
The colors are full of pink and sparkles. Two of my favorite things. These are also supposed to stay on for awhile, so that you don't have to spend too much time of your summer reaplying lipgloss. My favorite color so far is Watermelon. Its a coral color. It looks funky, and it's an unusual color.  Its the fourth one from the right. I also think that star will be a great one. Its the first one on the rightt. This one is a little pinker though. I don't really ever go for  hot pink lipgloss because it kind of reminds be of Barbie Dolls. But I thinkthis one is very sheer, and it's also a light pink so it would be ok.

I hope you liked this post! Please comment and tell me what you think!

Summer Collections!

Hey everyone!

Remember me? I am so sorry for the lack of posts, I have been super busy lately, but now I am back! And I came with ah-mazing news, the mac summer collection is here! Okay, mac puts out interesting collections all year, but the winter and summer ones are always the best. I really want some things from these, so here is the Mac "Hey Sailor" Summer Collection!

Here is an all over view of the collection, I am so excited about it! Plus, they have a really interesting design for the packaging, it is this striped/metallic fabulousness! Yeah, I just made that a word if it isn't already.

Coral and orange bright lip colors anyone? I may have to get that bold orange in the middle, and the one next to that, and the one next to that... oh gosh, I need all of these! The summer collections always have a way of speaking straight to my wallet, telling it that one more eyeshadow will be okay. Note to self: Don't let the products go to your wallet.  That's the problem with these, colors, who could turn them down!
I admit it, one of my favorite parts about the summer collections are the bright lip colors. Summer is the perfect time to pull one off, and these lip pencils are sure to help. Even the lighter pink/nude looks like it would b perfect for layering!

So what are your favorite Mac collections? Are you obsessed with this one or any summer collections? Be sure to tell me in the comments, thanks for reading!

Forever Fuchsia Construction!

We thought you should know why our background has been changing so much lately. In honor of getting our 100th post, we we have decided to change to background. So we have been trying out some new ones (that's why our background has been changing so much lately) and we just can't decide on one. We are thinking of one that is fun, exciting, and girly but not like a super frilly one. We want it to be cool and not like Disney Princess. If you have a suggestion thats not on the list send us the link in a comment!
Bye for now,

Hair Bows!

For all of you adventurous hair stylists, this hair style is for you! So it's always cool to have a bow inyour hair but have you ever heard of making the bow out of your own hair? It seems impossible right? But actually, the girl in these two videos makes it super easy and you can do it on all lengths of hair!
You will learn how to do this one is the second video.
You'll learn how to do this one in the first video,

So heres the first video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=-MWqyGtzclQ
This one is probably this most impressive and craziest one, it just looks very hard to keep in place. But I must try this sometime...
Heres the second video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=AXRsJy9Rzdc#t=9s
This one is my favorite. It's so pretty when she makes the ribbons. It just doesn't look as good without the ribbons.

Sprial Curls!

Last night I was at a base ball game, and in the seats in front of me there was a girl and she had the most amazing curls.

So I decided that I really wanted to get curls like that. I asked some people and I found out that to get those "special" curls that you need to use a spiral curling iron. So today I went to Sally Beauty Supply (best store ever!) and I got one. Just for safety, I also got a heat protective glove, because you have to wrap your hair around the spirals. Or, you can just using it like a regular curling iron, and you will get spiral curls. They stay in better when you do it this way. When your wrap it around the curling iron your hair tends to look crimped after awhile.  It's super easy to do by yourself, and it takes under 10 minutes. My only complaint, is that if you don't use hair spray the spirals will start to look like you crimped your hair.

So here is a super cute hairstyle that you can do with a sprial curling iron!
First, Put your hair in a low side pony tail, but on the side that the pony tail is not on, leave down a strand of hair in the front of your face to shape your face.

Then, curl your side pony tail. This will give it a more sophisticated look.

Finally, take the piece you left down a spiral curl it. This looks really cool because it just adds some pop to the hairstye. if you want you can bobby pin the back of it back so it's not in your face.

And Voila!!

I hope you liked this post! Sorry, we haven't been posting as often,we will do our normal amount from now on!! We just have a really hectic week.

Maxi Dresses

Hey everyone!

Today I am posting on a trend that has been around for a while, and it is maxi dresses. Maxi dresses are the really long dresses that have escalated into a huge trend over the last couple of years. I was still on my search for a casual dress that was above the knee, so I must say I was not too find of these when they first came out. Then, I found myself in Macy's staring at the display of bright, colorful dresses and I just couldn't help myself.

Long story short, I got an olive green one that was great when I wanted brighter accessories, and then one in turquoise. And that is where my story began.... I literally lived in those all summer. This was back in the day when I actually had a tan, and even though it came from ST. Tropez tanning lotion, it was still a tan! They were just so comfy and were so easy just to throw on in the morning with some strappy sandals, and I was good to go!

I had something like this, I couldn't find my old one. This one is from Forever 21, and I thought it was a great example to show how easy it is to look amazing in two minutes! The stacked bangles and wedges go perfectly with the obviously sea salt sprayed hair!

Tell me in the comments below what you think of maxi dresses, I will post an update this summer and tell you if I am still obsessed with these or not!

Great New Store

Hello Again!
Today I am going to tell you about this awesome new store I found out about yestarday. It's called Delias. They have the cutest clothing ever! I highly suggest going to their website and ordering a free catalog. Delias is great because they have super cute clothing, thats in style, unique, and there's something for everyone. So I thought I would show you some of my favorite items from there!
First is this adorable Ballerina Dress. It comes in many diferent patterns, and each one is super cute. This just shows that if you add a little something to a dress, it can go from casual to dressy in just minutes. Like for example the blue dress is very casual, but for the pink one they added some flowers on the front and so it's dressy.

Second is these cool lace shirts. Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutey love lace. Since these shirts are super see-through you must wear a cami under it, and it would look great if you put a different colored cami under the shirt to add some contrast. This shirt also comes in lime green, red, blue, and pink.

Then third, Delia's has this adorable bathing suit collection. This one is by far my favorite out of all of them. What I love is that with all of there collections you can get any pattern on any type of bathing suit. my favorite one is the first one.

I hope you liked this post!
